1939 NY Worlds Fair Glass Block Esso Bank

1939 New York Worlds Fair Glass Block Esso Bank 1939 - 1940. This is an original 1939 glass block bank that is also an advertisement piece for Esso (Standard Oil). Bank came from the 1939 Worlds Fair in New York. Measuring 5-3/4” x 5-3/4” x 5-1/2” tall, on one side has the NEW YORK WORLD’S FAIR – 1939 mark and on the other side it states WATCH YOUR SAVINGS GROW WITH ESSO. The word ESSO is in an oval logo of that time. Good condition except there is a chip on the opening on top where the money goes in. In appears someone saved but tried to retrieve the money with a flat article (mostly likely a round edge knife) and chipped a piece of the opening.
