ANTIQUE 1940's SET OF 06 FAR EAST TEA CUPS AND PLATES “UNIQ

$100,000.00

This set belonged to my grandmother's mother, it was a gift brought from China to Costa Rica in 1941. I have no certificate or any document stating what I put here, but this is what I was told as a child many years ago. The original set was for 10 cups and saucers, now only 06 cups and saucers survive. DESCRIPTION... This lovely and beautiful MARUTA CHINA Blue Willow demi cup and saucer measures 2 1/4" tall, 4 1/2" across the saucer in diameter, and 2 1/4" inches across the top of the cup in diameter. They are painted with the blue and white motif. The cup has a fine delicate handle with blue designs. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. They are like they left the factory more than 70 years ago. Both cup and saucer are stamped on the bottom under the glaze in blue MARUTA, MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN. There is also the manufactures logo of a leafy wreath. (see photo) A lot of details in one picture, making them a wonderful addition to any collection. This is not like a regular teacups selling everywhere, these are different UNIQUE! That is why the price is for a REALLY COLLECTOR.
