PLEASE HELP
I have a set of figurines, both separate; a little boy wearing a green hat and a little girl with braids. Both are barefoot and eyes closed, each with a cat, leaning toward each other for a kiss. The kitten with the boy is stretched toward the kitten with the girl like it is leaning in for a kiss as well. The boy is holding a bouquet of flowers behind his back. The girl is clasping her hands.
The pair was given to me in the 1980s and I was told they were Hummels. While they appear to have similarities to Hummel figurines such as coloring, the boy's hat and general material (not glossy)After much research, I don't believe they are Hummels but would like to know if anyone can identify them. They are marked on the bottom with 176, an R under a design of sorts and an N in a square. They also say genuine porcelain decorated by hand
