PLEASE HELP

Hello. I have just inherited a china cabinet/ display cabinet from my late mother.. Her grandmother travelled from Guernsey in 1874 to New Zealand on the Edwin Fox ship, with her parents. They bought the China cabinet with them. I'm trying to find some information about it. The glass is intact, has some leadlighting on it, and has the original key with it ,. Has one opening door, three glass panels across the front and glass panels on the sides and has 6 legs. Is in good condition. I don't know anything about antiques. May some one could give me some info.

Hi Maureen,

I estimate your antique china cabinet from the 1870's is worth around $2000-2500 dollars.  With such a expensive antique, I would suggest having a antique store owner come look at it and give you 2nd opinion.  He/she might also help you sell it by putting it on consignment.
