PLEASE HELP

This was believed to be my great grandfather who came to America from England in late 1800s - very early 1900s. Nothing in side box just a pocket watch that was appraised to be from 1930s or so but did not come with the box. looks like it was yellow velvet? at one time edges are work has a silver plate attached to top with initials LAP engraved. has lid that opens on top with clips in the lid and inside box where something was kept looks like maybe 3 different items of different shapes, inside is satin cloth in good condition no tears or holes, bottom drawer opens in good condition has a solid fixed circle where something was kept and take in and out alot because this space is worn. no writing or labels anywhere on the box inside or out.
