PLEASE HELPPlate on the bottom has star of david with letters EK in the center of it. These are all brass with lens caps on them. Magnification is 15 x 4 degrees. They are angle binoculars and each one is individually adjustable. They work great and are in great ccondition. Could anyone offer some info on the maker and origin please. Hi Curt,
I believe you have a pair of military WWII ship binoculars. They would have been mounted on a stand that rotated. I also think they might be quite valuable. Here's a similar pair of WWII Japanese ship binoculars that sold for $3250 dollars! WWII Japanese ship binoculars Here's a link to a page discussing a makers mark for WWII binoculars with the same makers mark as your set: WWII Japanese military binoculars with Makers mark "EK" in a symbol that looks like 2 opposing triangles (like an elongated Star of David) I would say your WWII "big" binoculars are worth $1500-3000 dollars. |
